About Bancroft Amenities

Bancroft Amenities Ltd was formed in 2001 by the amalgamation of two long established family businesses, Bancroft Turf Services from Hyde in Cheshire and A Wild + Son from Oldham in Lancashire, with a combined experience of over 50 years in the sports turf industry.

This amalgamation has been followed by further growth extending the range and size of our contracting division. Bancroft Amenities Ltd is headed by three hands on directors, John Bancroft and Geoff Wild both family members of the original firms and Stuart Thompson who brings a wealth of contracting experience.

This hands on approach from our directors ensures a high standard of workmanship and professionalism which are the main focus of all our contracting operations and business relationships with clients, consultants, customers and suppliers.

At our disposal is a large modern fleet of contracting machinery which include some of the most innovative sports turf construction plant available.

This machinery is regularly inspected and serviced in-house in our purpose built premises and thus re-enforcing out commitment to workmanship and client satisfaction.

Our motivated and well trained staff reflect the work ethic and professionalism of our directors. Several of our team have been with us since leaving school, receiving in house training and instruction is backed up by regular training courses.

Bancroft Amenities Ltd is highly committed to Health + Safety issues at all levels. There is an active promotion of risk awareness, not only does this fulfil moral obligations but being risk aware reduces accidents and incidents enhancing business benefits for both the Company and the client. Bancrofts ensures sufficient funds are provided for Health + Safety both from a practical and administration prospective.
